My Kaff hob clicks but doesn't light. Is this serious?
Usually not. A click with no flame almost always means the spark is jumping to the wrong spot or the gas isn't reaching the burner head — both are quick fixes, not a sign the unit is failing.
Can I clean the burners myself instead of calling someone?
For surface grime, yes — warm water and a soft brush on the cap is fine. But if the flame is yellow or uneven after cleaning, the jet itself is clogged and needs to come out, which is where people usually get stuck.
Is it safe to keep using the hob if one burner has stopped working?
The working burners are fine to use. The dead one is the concern — if it's a gas valve issue rather than just the igniter, gas can still be escaping even without a flame, so get that one checked before ignoring it.
Do you only repair Kaff hobs, or other brands too?
Our technicians are trained specifically on Kaff hob mechanisms and carry Kaff-compatible spares, so that's our focus — it's also why we can usually fix things in one visit instead of ordering parts later.
How do you decide between repairing the glass top and replacing it?
A small chip away from the burner rings can often be left alone. A crack running toward or through a burner ring tends to spread with heat cycling, and that's when we recommend replacement rather than risk a breakage mid-cook.
What happens if the same issue comes back after the repair?
If the exact fault resurfaces within 30 days of the visit, we come back and fix it without charging again for the visit — the part cost only applies if something new has failed.
